Common questions
How long does Bradbury Press take to reply?
General enquiries are answered within about ten working days. Manuscript submissions take longer — allow up to twelve weeks, and longer still if an editor has asked to read the full book.
Can I submit a manuscript by email to hello@bradburypress.com?
No. Submissions sent to the general address are not read. Everything goes through the submissions page, which routes your manuscript to the editor covering that category.
Does Bradbury Press accept unagented manuscripts?
Yes. The house has always read unagented work — Judy Blume's first novel arrived that way — and every submission through the proper door is read by a person.
Who do I contact about a review copy or an interview?
The publicity desk, at press@bradburypress.com. Include your outlet, your deadline, and the title or author you're writing about.
Who handles translation rights and trade orders?
Rights enquiries go to rights@bradburypress.com and bookseller or library orders go to trade@bradburypress.com. Both are covered in more detail on the Rights & Trade page.
